The Grand Canyon State’s annual salute to nonprofits strengthens communities by encouraging philanthropy.
Since 2013, Arizona Gives has raised more than $47 million to support the essential work of Arizona’s nonprofit sector. As Arizona Gives Day approaches on April 1, the organization invites everyone to be part of this annual tradition of generosity, where every donation helps strengthen the communities we call home.
Arizona Gives Day is a 24-hour online giving event that unites individuals, businesses and organizations to support the causes that matter most across Arizona. Organized by AZ Impact for Good, this statewide movement fuels the missions of more than 1,000 nonprofits – organizations that provide food assistance, health care, education, arts programming, animal rescue, environmental conservation and so much more. Last year, donors helped raise an incredible $5.3 million for Arizona nonprofits. This year, they’re aiming even higher – nonprofits need support now more than ever.
Arizona’s nonprofit sector is a major economic driver, contributing $22.4 billion annually to the state’s economy and employing one in every 16 Arizonans.
These organizations do more than provide services. They create a stronger, healthier and more vibrant Arizona. Yet, nonprofits face ongoing challenges. They are feeling the strain of rising costs just like families and businesses across Arizona. Inflation, increased demand for services and higher operational expenses make it even more challenging for these organizations to sustain their vital work. As the need for support grows, so does the importance of Arizona Gives Day – an opportunity for donors to come together and help nonprofits continue making a lasting impact in our communities.
Every donation made during Arizona Gives Day directly supports the nonprofits working tirelessly to serve our communities. Many contributions are also tax-deductible and may qualify for Arizona’s Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO), Qualified Foster Care (QFCO), and Public School Tax Credits, providing donors with a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state tax liability.

Giving is easy – early giving opens at azgives.org on March 11 and leads up to the big day on April 1. Whether you choose to give $10 or $1,000, every dollar makes a difference. Donors can also increase their impact by creating a personal fundraiser to encourage friends, family and colleagues to participate; setting up a recurring gift to provide ongoing support; or sharing Arizona Gives Day on social media to inspire others to join in.
