“Miss Krystle” Delgado
Specialty: Intellectual Property
Law School/Year Graduated: Arizona State University, 2014
Years in Practice: 10

You’re a musical polymath who’s produced and recorded several pop albums. What inspired you to branch from entertainment to entertainment law?
I went to law school to learn how to protect myself legally – and for my own music career. [After graduating,] I started a law firm because I wanted to help my rock star friends. Growing a large practice was a happy accident, and a result of obsessing over getting good results for clients.
Describe your client base. Besides musicians, do you represent any writers or photographers… or programmers and technology workers?
All of the above. Our clients definitely include creators, entrepreneurs, businesses and influencers. We love people with big dreams and ambition.
What are some of the biggest challenges of working with intangible assets?
The speed of infringement related to intellectual property is mind-numbingly fast, particularly with AI advancement. Do not even get me started. We make it a priority to always stay on top of the latest technological advancements. We are not afraid to fight fire with fire.
Did you have any clients who participated in the SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023? What was it like being on the front line, so to speak?
Yes, we had clients who were unable to work during the SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023, which was difficult. It was inspiring to see actors and writers unite to support each other and fight for their rights. That solidarity is exactly what Delgado Entertainment Law stands for.
Who is your all-time favorite fictional attorney?
[Even in fiction,] I think attorneys are generally pretty boring. My favorite fictional badass character is Lara Croft… Angelina Jolie era. I’m a fan! Croft is smart, tough and no-nonsense. I’m convinced she is secretly an attorney.
What do you do in your spare time?
I get paid as my day job to build big businesses and careers for my clients. I use my spare time to build big businesses and a career for myself. I guess I’m just a builder.
