Closing

Dad’s Modern Cocktails & Eatery in Scottsdale has closed after three years.

The Farmhouse, a Gilbert breakfast restaurant that’s been an East Valley favorite since 1989, has turned out the lights for good.

Gallery Bar High Street, a piano bar art space, has shut down after two years.

Stalwart Old Town Scottsdale karaoke and sushi restaurant, Geisha A Go Go, has shut its doors after 17 years to make way for new development.

After four years, Kaizen has closed, but the owners plan to open a “mini Kaizen” inside Silo, their Tempe Hayden Ferry lakeside restaurant.

A Valley institution for more than 28 years, Merc Bar at Phoenix’s Esplanade has served its last cocktail.

The Old Spaghetti Factory has closed its Chandler Fashion Square location after 14 years. The Downtown Phoenix location is still up and running.

Say farewell to Sakana Sushi in Ahwatukee, which closed at the end of June. The Scottsdale location is open.

Superstition Meadery in Downtown Phoenix has called it quits due to rising costs, but the Prescott location remains open.

Gilbert’s Sushi Ramen Go has shut down.

Chandler’s Tacos Chiwas recently closed, but owners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin are looking for a larger space. Stay tuned.

Uncle Bear’s Grill & Tap in North Scottsdale has shuttered, but the east Mesa and Queen Creek locations are still open.

Ahwatukee’s Wicked Brews, Bites & Spirits closed after a four-year-run.
