Fiesta Time: Joyride Taco House is celebrating Cinco De Mayo all weekend long with an exclusive Agave Lounge extension filled with festive decor. The lounge will include extended seating and buckets of Huss Rio Salado Mexican Lager and a specialty tequila-based cocktail called Island Time. Chips and salsa can be enjoyed on the patio and a variety of taco favorites like carne asada, Baja fish, pork adobada, carnitas and more will be available inside the restaurant. Guests can also savor classic Cinco De Mayo beverages like margaritas and beer for just $6 by the glass until 5 p.m. daily. The lounge and deals will be available at both Valley locations from Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7.
Good Brews: This summer, Hundred Mile Brewing Company is partnering with the city of Tempe’s HOPE (Homeless Outreach Prevention Effort) team to provide bottled water for Tempe residents in need. Brewery customers can bring cases of bottled water (12 packs or larger) directly to the brewery and receive $5 off their food bill throughout the month of May. HOPE will then distribute the water to Tempe residents experiencing homelessness. The coupons are limited to one per table, per visit and exclude alcoholic beverages.
Fat Cocktails: Famed bar chef Christiaan Röllich debuts a premier cocktail menu available now at Scottsdale’s award-winning Italian restaurant, Fat Ox. These eight imaginative cocktails include seasonal ingredients and were inspired by the warm days ahead. The Medusa (vodka and blood orange with cinnamon and strawberry) and Big River (Mezcal and pineapple with saffron, turmeric and peppers) are among the deluxe selections available through the end of the season. Enjoy these artisan beverages nightly from 4:30 p.m. to close.
Dine & Donate: May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and the Ivy Brain Tumor Center has teamed up with Hensley Beverage Company to raise funds for cutting-edge research. Throughout the month, guests can dine at one of the many participating local restaurants including Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, The Vig, Campo Italian Bistro, CALA Scottsdale and more. The restaurants will donate a portion of the month’s proceeds to the Ivy Center, promote Wear Gray Day on May 27 (a nationally recognized day to bring awareness to brain cancer and the need for research), or select a special menu item to support the cause. Hensley Beverage Company, led by former Senator John McCain’s son Andy McCain, will match all funds raised up to $25,000. For more information, visit this website.
