Phoenix artist (and PHOENIX magazine Great 48 honoree) Carrie Bloomston has flourished in seemingly every medium – painting, pottery, textiles, glassblowing. Yet her highest calling, she maintains, is as a “creativity enabler” helping others tap into their own imagination and capacity for creation. “I’m helping people uncover the part of themselves that gets to make things beautiful,” Bloomston says. She shares her own creativity aids, which help in her day job as an art teacher at Phoenix Country Day School and in her work with adults to reignite their childlike creative impulses.
