If you didn’t think Pita Jungle could get any better, the Tempe location (4 E. University Drive) now serves healthy and fresh Mexican food through its new ghost kitchen, A Su Salud. Pita Jungle has been a Phoenix area favorite for delicious, guilt-free appetizers, meals and desserts for almost two decades. And now, they’ve created an entirely new takeout menu to try out.
A Su Salud, meaning “to your health” in Spanish, is a wood-fired Mexican grill with more than enough options to taste test for weeks. They offer starters, salads, burritos, tacos, bowls and fajitas with plenty of veggie and meat topping choices. You can even order traditional Pita Jungle desserts like turtle cheesecake and churros with chocolate sauce. Some items that are bound to become popular include the Black Bean Nachos, Kale & Quinoa Salad, Mahi Tacos and Chargrilled Steak Bowl.
The beauty of A Su Salud is you don’t have to leave your house to get it! Just open your favorite food delivery app (DoorDash, UberEats, Grubhub or Postmates), choose your favorites from an array of mouth-watering choices and answer the door when the food arrives.
Ghost kitchens, or virtual restaurants as they’re sometimes called, have been popping up all over the country during the pandemic, including in the Valley. With restaurants hurting for more customers during the pandemic, introducing a ghost kitchen can bring in more revenue. Oftentimes, a ghost kitchen menu will offer a completely different style of food from a restaurant’s normal options, but it will allow them to use many of the same ingredients.
Check out these other ghost kitchens in the Phoenix area to support your local restaurants from a safe distance.
