Las Palmas Cantina will be getting a tropical makeover this fall when the Chandler restaurant closes and reopens as Chandler Yacht Club.

The concept, spearheaded by Fork & Dagger Hospitality CEO and founder Julian Wright – who’s also behind the popular brewpub Pedal Haus in Tempe — envisioned a nautical neighborhood watering hole packed with personality.

“We’re excited to introduce the Chandler Yacht Club opening this fall. It’s a fun, nautical-themed neighborhood bar specializing in group dining, and featuring live music, tropical drinks and elevated island pub fare,” he says.

The space’s 2,000-square-foot back patio will take center stage, offering live music and outdoor grilling during the weekends, evoking a beachside barbecue vibe.

The reimagined restaurant will also feature two larger-than-life custom carved tiki statues, a bamboo ceiling, boat captain chairs around a community table and more pops of color.

The food menu will also get a facelift, featuring tropical treats like grilled skewers with coconut and pineapple rice, an island burger, lettuce wraps, and fried fish. Las Palmas favorites like tacos, nachos and guacamole will also still be available.

Chandler Yacht Club is all about community and coming together, so the menu will also feature large format party platters and drink packages. Wright hopes to make the new concept a go-to place for group functions and celebrations.

Chandler Yacht Club is slated to open its doors on October 18.
