I’ll be honest with you, sometimes there is nothing else in this world that makes me feel better other than declaring, “Any pizza is a personal pan pizza if you believe in yourself!” and digging in.
Is this the healthiest coping method? No. Do I recommend doing this often? No. Does Phoenix have a lot of options for a feeling-fueled feast? Absolutely.
Here are my recommendations for a post-breakup pizza, mac n’ cheese for when you’ve made a huge mistake, and pancakes for periodic bad days.
The Manifesto Pizza from Federal Pizza
This meal is definitely not for someone in a committed relationship because you will not want to share a single slice. If you’re like me and had a picky ex that rarely wanted to venture past pepperoni pizza, this is the perfect way to reclaim your pallet and gorge on some gourmet ‘za. Goat cheese belongs on pizza, OK?

Lux Central’s Mac n Cheese
Nothing says, “I’m dealing with the consequences of my moronic actions,” like eating mac n’ cheese out of a takeout coffee cup. Simply park your car in an empty lot, place the mac n’ cheese in your cup holder, blast your favorite self-pity playlist and cry in between bites!
Pancake flight from Snooze
I honestly never need an excuse to order a pancake flight from Snooze, but it always tastes best on a Saturday morning after I’ve had a long, difficult week. I usually order the sweet potato pancakes, blueberry danish pancakes and (pro-tip) a slice of french toast. If you’re feeling especially miserable, I highly suggest getting the Dirty Drunken Chai.
