@ClueHeywood is one of the Valley’s most prominent Twitter personalities. But who is he? Best known for a viral Twitter thread in which he relentlessly roasts stationary exercise bike company Peloton over its sometimes tone-impaired advertising (see below), the jokester’s real identity is a mystery. But one follower, University of Arizona-educated attorney Brad Neal, has pieced together a few clues, wagering he’s a “[42-year-old] one-man shop civil litigator with a practice in a historical building in Phoenix.” Based on that, we have some guesses.
Marc Lieberman Clue has a picture of heavily mustachioed Milwaukee Brewers slugger Pete Vuckovich on his Twitter account. This Phoenix real estate attorney also has a big moustache. Coincidence? Almost certainly.
James Nearhood
With his Scottsdale address, he doesn’t exactly fit the profile – but pseudonyms have a way of mirroring the real thing, no? The “hood” makes him a nominally sound choice.
Richard Suzuki
Clue hints that he went to the University of Arizona, and so did Suzuki. And he’s about the right age. But one-man shop? With all those billboards and bus ads, we doubt it.
Mark Brnovich
Stretch? Sure. But in today’s world, the idea of Arizona’s top attorney moonlighting as its most famous social media troll is downright presidential.
