Peter Hook and the Light
While it doesn’t get talked about with the same reverence as Movement and Power Corruption & Lies, New Order’s Get Ready is what the kids call a “banger.” Released in the middle of indie rock’s early 2000s revival, it has a lead single, “Crystal,” than many pundits rank up there with landmark songs like “Blue Monday.” With the album celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, former New Order bassist Peter Hook and his band The Light will mark the milestone by playing it in its entirety, along with other seminal tracks from the band and its predecessor, Joy Division. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Journey
Every week seems to bring a new rumor that Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda, discovered by founding member and lead guitarist Neal Schon on YouTube, will quit the “Don’t Stop Believin’” band before it finishes its final tour. Some even speculate that original vocalist Steve Perry might replace him. Perry has repeatedly shut down those rumors, leaving Pineda to perform one last time with Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Mötley Crüe
If you’ve ever read The Dirt, the book documenting the sordid exploits of Mötley Crüe, then you know the members of the hard rock band are lucky to be alive after 45 years. Christone “Kingfish” Ingram
Some blues scholars believe the crossroads where legend Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil is in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The city just happens to be the birthplace of 27-year-old Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, who is considered by many to be the genre’s future. The Red Clay Strays
