Thee Sacred Souls
Need a little more soul in your life? This San Diego-based trio infuses its refreshing throwback R&B sound with Latin rhythms and inspirational lyrics. Songs like “Live for You” channel the spirit of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On?” But Thee Sacred Souls’ secret talent might be writing great love songs. Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte
We have to admit that this pairing threw us off a bit. While Avenged Sevenfold would be filed under “Heavy Metal” at your favorite record store, Good Charlotte would be found in the “Pop” (or, if you prefer, “Emo”) for its chart-topping classics like “The Anthem.” No matter which band you’re going to see, just remember some earplugs, as both bands are known to be loud. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Lost ‘80s Live
It’s time to dust off your fingerless gloves and break out your hair crimper. For one night this week, an all-star collection of new wave bands will make it safe to dance in East Phoenix.
