Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week features peak indie nostalgia acts and flightless-fowl festival rock.

March 10
Neko Case

Neko Case first came to indie music listeners’ attention as a member of The New Pornographers, the Canadian supergroup led by A.C. Newman. But it’s her gift for storytelling that has made the red-haired singer-songwriter stand out as a solo performer. Ironically, Case will be performing with her bandmate, Dan Bejar, also known as Destroyer, to support her latest album, Neon Grey Midnight Green. 7:30 p.m. $55-$88. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second St., Scottsdale, 480-499-8587, scottsdaleperformingarts.org

 March 13
Authority Zero

The Mesa-based punk rockers are coming home to perform more than three decades of hits. 7 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Marquee Theatre, 730 N. Mill Ave. Tempe, 480-829-0607, luckymanonline.com

 March 13-15
Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival

This year’s edition of Chandler’s celebration of its flightless-bird-ranching history has moved to Rawhide Western Town and Event Center. It’s also put together a music lineup as eclectic as the East Valley suburb. Classic rockers Kansas will kick things off, while up-and-coming star Ravyn Lenae will headline Saturday night. Country star Jo Dee Messina will close things out on Sunday. There will also be plenty of food, music and carnival fun. Check website for schedule and ticket prices. Rawhide Western Town and Event Center, 5700 W. North Loop Rd., Chandler, 480-588-8497, ostrichfestival.com

March 13
Lauren Spencer Smith

Sometimes compared to Olivia Rodrigo, the Canadian singer-songwriter and former American Idol contestant often taps into her own romantic history for inspiration – as she did for her breakout single “Flowers,” in which she muses on the nature of unhealthy relationships. The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, 480-659-1641, thevanburenphx.com

 March 14
BoDeans

Best known for the hit “Closer to Free,” the opening theme to the 1990s teen drama Party of Five, the Wisconsin rockers will be celebrating 40 years together with a nationwide tour. 7:30 p.m. $46.84 -$99.59. Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, 602-267-1600, celebritytheatre.com
