Though technically located in East Phoenix, this high-dollar historical neighborhood is Scottsdale-adjacent and frequently conflated with Old Town.

Trevor’s Liquor

The third and latest location of the Trevor’s bottle shop chain has a full-service bar and pizza-centric kitchen. Made with local flour from Hayden Flour Mills, the crustpossesses an earthy, complex flavor. Spare the carbs with a well-proportioned charcuterie board or Caesar salad with fat, toasty croutons.

Santo

Expect a little din with dinner at this lively Mexican-fusion restaurant, created by Roberto Centeno (Espiritu) and his partners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin. Best bets: anything that’s hit the wood-fired grill, including smoky, charred chicken or the pork rib chop.

Vecina

Chef-partners James Fox and Eric Stone get everything right at this small neighborhood hangout, offering great cocktails, cool Latin pop and a view of Camelback Mountain, not to mention terrific Latin-inspired dishes such as ceviche and barbacoa tostadas with blue cheese-infused mashed potatoes.
