The SunPunchers
“Soulful Americana” sounds like a term used to describe an interior design style featured on popular home renovation shows. It’s also an apt description of the music the Valley folk group is known for by their fans, which led to their recognition as the Best Local Band in our 2023 Best of the Valley issue. The musicians demonstrate their mastery of storytelling through the seductive vocals of Betsy Ganz, and Jon Rauhouse’s steady guitar work propels the narrative forward. 7:30 p.m., $12-$15, Valley Bar, 130 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, 602-368-3121, valleybarphx.com
