Glass Animals
Surprised by the viral success of their single “Heat Waves,” the English indie-pop band’s newest album, I Love You So F***ing Much, is about how the aftermath of that hit left its members feeling disconnected from the real world. Fans can expect a mind-bending show, to say the least. 7:45 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, 2121 N. 83rd Ave., Phoenix, 602-254-7200, livenation.com
September 18
Green Day
Two of the punk band’s landmark albums, Dookie and American Idiot, are celebrating their 30th and 20th anniversaries, respectively. The trio will perform each of them in their entirety for this raucous show. 5:30 p.m. Check website for showtimes. Chase Field, 401 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix, 602-514-8400, dbacks.com

Future Islands
It’s hard to tell why Future Islands’ 2014 performance of its breakthrough single “Seasons (Waiting on You)” on The Late Show with David Letterman went viral. Our guess: frontman Samuel T. Herring’s dancing, a cross between the jerky movements of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis and Elaine’s dance at the J. Peterman office party on Seinfeld. There’s something passionate about how Herring thrusts around artistically during a performance. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, 480-659-1641, livenation.com

Faye Webster
The Atlanta-based singer-songwriter is known for her beautiful melodies and humorous lyrics. She also isn’t shy about once harboring a crush on Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr., which has inspired at least one of her songs. Try to guess which one at this show. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com
