Kylee Cruz entered a new era of womanhood last November when she and her husband welcomed their first child, daughter Chloe. “It has certainly been wonderful, but also a little challenging at times, just juggling work and motherhood and my crazy hours,” says Cruz, an anchor and reporter for Arizona’s Family 3TV and CBS 5. “While I do have to get up at 2 a.m. [for work], I am able to be off around noon” to swap reporting for cuddling Chloe. “So, then I get all afternoon with her.” Wherever she goes, she totes her multifunctional diaper bag so she’s prepared for anything.

- Now that she is carrying her Freshly Picked diaper bag everywhere, Cruz skips a purse. Most times, her cards are kept safe in a tiny wristlet. “I try to simplify it,” she says.
- To keep Chloe’s toys appropriate for each stage of her growth, Cruz started a membership with Lovevery, an educational toy subscription box. “I kind of just judge it on like where she is developmentally,” Cruz says.
- Some pregnancy habits have lingered into her first several months of motherhood. “I actually would eat an RXBAR every day when I was pregnant,” Cruz says of her favorite on-the-go snack. “I still am continuing that.”
- Cruz stocks all the infant essentials: creams, diapers and wipes. Most important, she says, are stain removers and extra bags. “You never know when your baby is gonna spit up, or they’re gonna have a blowout,” she says. “It’s always good to be prepared.”
- There’s always room for Cruz’s grooming items to keep her camera-ready. “For TV, I’ve got an old comb, a teasing comb, that I’ve had for literally years,” she says. She also stashes MAC lipstick, 5 gum and Burberry perfume in her bag.
