Bar Cena – Scottsdale

Bar Cena is the brand new cocktail bar and restaurant from the beloved valley chef Dom Ruggiero. His other concepts Hush Public House and Fire at Will are some of the most popular in Scottsdale and Phoenix, and Bar Cena looks to add to that legacy. Visitors of Bar Cena can enjoy a variety of cocktails and mocktails crafted with the help of the renowned valley cocktail team at Highball. Foodwise, expect elevated shareables like mussels or larger plates like wild mushroom bolognese. Bar Cena is part of the Cast Iron Concepts restaurant group who will be serving a cocktail and food samples at the a taste of az food & drink festival on 1/27! Get tickets so you can sample their impressive creations!

Across The Pond – Central Phoenix

Nestled off Central Avenue near Indian School Road, Across The Pond is a brainchild of Joshua James and Nick Campisano from Born & Raised Hospitality (known for venues like Clever Koi and Clever Ramen). Across The Pond offers high-quality sashimi, nigiri, and sushi rolls highlighting a more traditional approach. The craft cocktail program is outstanding, recently being recognized as Tales of the Cocktail’s Best Restaurant Bar in Phoenix. Drink favorites include the The Enabler, blending Dickel 12-year whiskey, grilled lemon juice, smoked Maldon Sea salt, grade B maple syrup, and Burlesque bitters. ATP also features draft beer, wine, and sake, with a daily Happy Hour from 5 pm to 6 pm offering a 20% discount on your entire tab. Coabana – Downtown Phoenix

Authentic Cuban food and cocktails fill the menu of Coabana, alongside refreshing spins on the classics. The food menu features items like a flavorful Cubano, ham and cheese croquetas, and one of our favorite items, the guava and cheese empanadas. Cocktails focus on rum based drinks and include frozen beverages like a piña colada. One of our other favorite drinks is the Cuban Link, but be confident in whatever you order, as this team’s sister concept and speakeasy Pigtails is one of our favorite cocktail bars as well. Coabana’s expert execution of Cuban cuisine and beverages takes us all the way to Little Havana, but one only needs to travel to the inaugural a taste of az food & drink festival in Scottsdale for a taste!
