Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows Resort in Scottsdale will launch a new cooking demo series and tasting with executive chef Charles Wiley this January. For one Saturday afternoon each month, the public can join Chef Wiley for one hour of intimate cooking instruction.

Each event will be suited to the corresponding season and will be held in a private dining room.

Chef Wiley has over 40 years of culinary experience and is excited to not only share his love of cooking, but the innumerable techniques he has learned throughout the years.

For each class, he aims to cook and share two recipes.

Three of the upcoming classes have been announced. On January 18, the theme is “Healthy Eating in the New Year.” The theme for the February 8 event is “The Perfect Valentine’s Day Dish to Make for your Sweetheart.” On March 14, a few days before the first official day of spring, join Chef Wiley with “Springtime Eats.”

Along with a cooking demonstration, participants will be given the recipe to take home, as well as two glasses of a paired wine and a taste of the dish.

For $36, join Chef Wiley in Scottsdale for a one-of-a-kind cooking experience.

All you need to bring? “A love for cooking,” Wiley says.
