Proof, an American Canteen at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is whipping up some delicious competition. The Wild West-inspired eatery, known for its comfort food, craft beer and cocktails curated exclusively from the 50 states, is gearing up for its second annual American Pie Fights, which launched on August 24 and will end on the biggest pie day of the year – Thanksgiving.

Every Saturday night through October 12, two pies will be pitted against each other in a race toward the final four and ultimately to the championship, which will culminate on Thanksgiving Day, November 28.

Diners will decide between two delicious desserts freshly baked by Executive Pastry Chef Lance Whipple. The confections competing in the first round of the bracket-style bout are:

August 24: Georgia Peach Pie vs. Key Lime Pie
August 31: Tennesee Whiskey Cherry Pie vs. Toasted S’mores Pie
September 7: Banana Foster Cream Pie vs. Lemon Meringue Pie
September 14: Strawberry Rhubarb vs. Chocolate Oreo Pie
September 21: Washington Apple Crumb Pie vs. Chocolate Caramel Turtle Pie
September 28: Piña Colada Cream Pie vs. Apple Walnut Pie
October 5: Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie vs. Smoked Chocolate Chile Pie
October 12: Speculoos Pumpkin Pie vs. Caramelized Pumpkin Pie

The top eight pies will then move to a final competition over four consecutive weeks. The final four will go up against each other on November 16 and November 23 before the most popular pie is announced on Thanksgiving Day.

Each week’s finalist will be announced on Proof’s Instagram page, @proofcanteen. Contestants who enter winning brackets have the opportunity to win two pies to take home at the end of the face-off. May the best pie win!
