Summer Del-ight
We have to check ourselves, not to over-cover the Hotel del Coronado from year to year. But what’s not to love? The historical San Diego property released its family-minded summer programming package recently. The highlights: a mermaid fitness and beach spin class, a movies-on-the-beach series, weekend clambakes and beach s’more roasts under the stars. Find a complete list at hoteldel.com

Elvis Freaks Unite
CasaBlanca Resort in Mesquite, Nev., is doing what it takes to establish itself as the center of the Elvis fandom galaxy. This summer, the resort will host a two-day (June 16-17) tournament-style Elvis impersonator contest, featuring tribute artists from throughout the country, dressed in the King’s best era-specific stage fashion. A total of $10,000 in prize money will be awarded to the winners. Visit mesquitegaming.com for ticket information.

Royal Deal
Resorts routinely offer voucher credits to entice off-season visitors. But is there an off-season in Hawaii? The Honua Kai Resort & Spa on Maui is offering a hefty $1,000 credit with any five-night stay in their oceanfront Royal Collection suites (typical per night rate: $600 and up). That’s a lot of massages and Mai Tais, people. Deal good through June 15. Visit honuakai.com for more information.
