Most wallpaper begins its life as pixels on a computer screen. Phoenix designer Caroline Cecil does things differently: “All of the designs originate as my own paintings.” Cecil grew up in Maine with a professional watercolor artist grandmother who inspired her to paint. She later studied painting, printing and dyeing at Maryland Institute College of Art before working for a fabric atelier, Target headquarters and a couple of Silicon Valley startups as a design director....
