Every week, we present a curated list of live music across a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week features indie rock’s hippest psyop.

Geese
Geese was undoubtedly the most hyped group of 2025. Much of that is due to the favorable critical reception enjoyed by its fourth album, Getting Killed. But Chaotic Good, a marketing group the band hired, also helped. The firm used social media accounts it operates to post Geese’s songs, using algorithms to build fervor for the band. Was this simply a successful case of a band trying to get its music heard by more people? Obviously. Does this practice have its detractors? Certainly. Is Geese still a great band? Find out when they come to the Valley. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com
October 10
Dinosaur Jr.
While Rick Rubin didn’t produce There Near, the latest effort from legendary lo-fi rockers Dinosaur Jr., he did inspire how it was constructed. “You always hear how Rick Rubin always makes bands he’s producing sit down and listen to their first album and say, ‘Let’s get back to that sound,’” says guitarist J Mascis in a statement. “So, I just gave myself his advice.” 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Marquee Theatre, 730 N. Mill Ave., Tempe, 480-829-0607, luckymanonline.com
October 10
Thomas Rhett
Fans of Ransom Canyon may have noticed a familiar face in the show’s second season. Thomas Rhett plays himself, performing the song “Ain’t A Bad Life” at a music festival. But you don’t have to binge the hit Netflix drama to see Rhett put on a show. He’ll be in the Valley live and in person for his “Soundtrack to Life” tour. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, 2121 N. 83rd Ave., Phoenix, livenation.com
