Gather with more than 300 Native American artists from more than 75 tribal affiliations – virtually, that is – during the 63rd Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5 and continuing through 4 p.m. Sunday, March 7, visitors to the virtual festival can watch dance performances, listen to playlists of music by indigenous artists (courtesy of Tempe-based Canyon Records), and peruse paintings, baskets, jewelry, pottery, textiles, sculptures and more. This year’s hybrid event is part virtual art market, part live juried competition show and sale.
The virtual art market is free, but tickets are required for the virtual Best of Show Awards ceremony and can be purchased here.
Over the weekend, Heard Museum will also have featured artists onsite at its shop: jewelers Victoria Adams (Southern Cheyenne/Arapaho of Oklahoma), Darryl Dean and Rebecca Begay (Navajo), Eddison Cummings (Navajo), Jesse Monongye (Navajo/Hopi), Tim BlueFlint Ramel (Bad River Chippewa/Comanche) and Denise Wallace (Chugach, Sugpiaq)
