Jumpstart Your Valentine’s Weekend with Dave Koz and Brian McKnight
Saxophonist Dave Koz and R&B superstar vocalist Brian McKnight provide the soundtrack for date night with A Romantic Night In. Presented by Mesa Arts Center, the one-night-only livestream concert takes place Feb. 13. Tee off to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation as Kimmyz at Tatum Point hosts a fundraising golf tournament Feb. 13. The event includes 18 holes of golf, four mulligans per team, lunch and prizes for closest to the pin, longest putt and longest drive. 8 a.m. $125 per person; teams of four. Celebrate a Rock Legend
Copperstate Productions brings Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story to an outdoor stage, through Feb. 28. The joyous hit tells the story of the rock legend’s meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when “That’ll Be the Day” hit the airwaves, until his tragic death two years later on “the day the music died.” The show features more than 20 of Holly’s greatest hits, including “Peggy Sue,” “Everyday” and “Oh Boy.” Seating is in your car, or assigned around an outdoor heater. Usher in the Year of the Ox
Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company honors the Chinese Lunar New Year with Year of the Golden Ox, a vibrant, family-friendly production, Feb. 12-13. The 90-minute livestream event features dance, acrobatics, music and opera – all performed by Chinese-American artists – followed by a panel discussion. Tune in to Jimmy Eat World in Concert
Tired of not performing for their fans for nearly a year, Mesa-based rock band Jimmy Eat World set up at The Icehouse to record Phoenix Sessions, a series of streamed shows focusing on several of the group’s albums each played in its entirety. Catch their timeless yet ever-refreshing sound Feb. 12 as they wrap up the series with a performance of Clarity in full.
