Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week, Coachella run-off! Several acts playing at the annual California festival are making their way to the Valley.

April 21
David Byrne

Of the many artists on this year’s Coachella lineup, perhaps none has had a career as eclectic as David Byrne’s. The jittery former Talking Heads frontman and film director went on to an impressive solo career, including a Broadway residency titled American Utopia. When he comes to Phoenix, he’ll perform a setlist that includes songs from his old band as well as tracks from his latest solo album, Who Is the Sky? 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com

April 22
Randy Travis

As many fans know, the legendary country singer Randy Travis suffered a stroke in 2013, which severely limited his ability to speak and sing. Doctors advised his wife to “pull the plug,” but she knew the “Forever and Ever, Amen” singer was still fighting. Years later, he’s still at it. He released a song with help from AI and is touring with his band. However, he won’t be singing during this celebration of his career. Instead, James Dupré will perform the vocals. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Orpheum Theatre, 203 W. Adams St., Phoenix, orpheumphx.com

April 24
Phantogram

NYC trip-hop duo Phantogram has been a favorite of Phoenix indie-rock fans for more than decade. Find out why when the “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” group tears ‘em a new hole at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, a longtime Valley golf course that was recently upgraded and is now moonlighting as a live music venue. They’re part of a four-band, two-day set billed as the Grass Clippings Open. Check website for ticket prices. 1415 N. Mill Ave., Tempe, 480-530-9880, grassclippingsaz.com

April 24
Charlie Puth

If you loved Puth’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at this year’s Super Bowl, then you want to check out the multi-hyphenate when he comes to Phoenix for his headlining tour in support of his latest album, Whatever’s Clever! 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com

April 24-25
Breakaway Music Festival Arizona

The Breakaway Music Festival returns after last year’s successful Arizona debut. Partnering with Relentless Beats, this traveling EDM event ups the ante with a lineup headlined by Marshmello and Kygo. Check website for full lineup and schedule. Sloan Park, 2330 W. Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa, breakwayfestival.com
