Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week, a local festival once again rises from the ashes.

April 14-15
Bruno Mars

It’s been almost a decade since the “Just the Way You Are” singer headlined a tour. This time around, he’ll be doing it with his Silk Sonic collaborator, Anderson .Paak. He is opening the show as his alter ego, DJ Pee .Wee. 7 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. State Farm Stadium, 1 Cardinals Dr., Glendale, 480-350-0911, statefarmstadium.com

April 14
Dar Williams

If you feel inspired to write your own music after seeing folk artist Dar Williams perform at the Musical Instrument Museum, she offers tools to help get you started. She leads songwriting workshops and retreats and wrote the acclaimed book How to Write a Song That Matters. But consider starting your creative journey by seeing her live in support of her latest album, Hummingbird Highway. 7 p.m. $44.50-$49.50. Musical Instrument Museum, 4725 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, 480-478-6000, mim.org

April 15-20
VIVA PHX

The beloved VIVA PHX festival has morphed from a one-day event into a nearly week-long, multi-venue celebration of the food, people and culture of Phoenix. National artists, including Langhorne Slim and moody alt-rockers Interpol, share the lineup with local legends Meat Puppets and Valley singer-songwriter Jason P. Woodbury. Visit vivaphx.com for a full list of venues, performers and set times.

April 16
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

Several weeks ago, the President of the United States diagnosed Bruce Springsteen with an “incurable case” of Trump Derangement Syndrome. That’s because The Boss is on what he calls a “very political” tour. Underlining that notion, the “Born in the U.S.A.” singer will be joined by activist-guitarist Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Mortgage Marchup Center, 201 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix, 602-379-7800, mortgagematchupcenter.com

April 17-19
Reggae Rise Up Arizona

Dirty Heads, De La Soul and Stephen Marley are headlining this celebration of rock, soul and reggae. Check website for ticket prices and schedule. Tempe Beach Park, 80 W. Rio Salado Pkwy., Tempe, reggaeriseup.com
