Since Hidden Track Bottle Shop owner Craig Dziadowicz debuted his Historic Series line of wine honoring Phoenix’s historical neighborhoods in 2016, requests to represent one ’hood in particular have far outnumbered the rest. In early 2025, the residents of Willo Historic Neighborhood will finally be able to toast their inclusion with “an unfiltered Chardonnay,” Dziadowicz says.
As with the previous five wines in the series, the Willo vino is a collaboration with Willcox’s Bodega Pierce. And, like its predecessors, it will boast bottle art by an artist who dwells within that neighborhood. Dziadowicz tapped Willo artist Cari Payne to do the honors. “Willo’s really defined by the bike lines on Third and Fifth avenues, and they’re constantly being used [for biking] and walking. And then you have the historic firehouse,” he says. “She captured all that on the label and did a great job.” If all goes to plan, the wine will be available for purchase in mid- to late January, at Hidden Track Bottle Shop and shops and restaurants in the historical ’hoods, which Dziadowicz prioritizes when vetting stockists. “They’re hidden treasures in Phoenix.” Learn more at hiddentrackbottleshop.com.
