The trainers and boutique staff at Village Health Clubs & Spas know firsthand how flimsy and disposable fast-fashion athletic wear is. In an effort to create something more lasting and high-quality for their clients, they developed Village Sustainable Threads, a performance and loungewear line made of recycled plastic bottles. The collection is a collaboration between designer Sandy Costello and Village community members. Costello says her priorities in creating the pieces were “style, comfort and ethical production in a range of colors and designs.” The exclusive line is locally crafted with partners based in Arizona to reduce environmental impact.
