A 1930s-era Japanese supper club was the inspiration for this sleek space designed by Nebraska-based hospitality brand Flagship Restaurant Group and global interior design firm AvroKO, which has transformed spaces in San Francisco, New York, London and Bangkok.

Licensed architect and Flagship president Tom Allisma says the team took a year to complete the project, painstakingly selecting everything from bespoke banquettes to the perfect soundtrack. Clean lines, wooden partitions, plush velvet, jewel tones and floral patterns provide the “perfect amount of feminine and masculine,” Allisma says.

Flagship and AvroKO partnered with Valley companies URI Construction and Hinkley Lighting to build out the space, which Allisma says is about 70 percent handcrafted. “Pretty much everything that the customer is seeing is custom-designed and fabricated,” he says.

Lighting Fixtures

From the lantern-like bulbs above the bar to the fringe-lined pendant lamps in the lounge, all of PYRO’s lights are custom-made.

Velvet Upholstery

The floral fabric and wallpaper throughout the space was imported from luxury London brand House of Hackney.

Gold Bistro Tables

Each table in the restaurant was custom-built by Omaha’s Wood Chaser. A piece of glass on each gilded tabletop adds a layer of iridescence.

Fringe-Trimmed Bar Seating

These florid barstools – reminiscent of Japanese kimonos – subtly mirror the lounge lights for a sense of streamlined continuity.

Accent Mirrors

Surrounded by a series of rectangular mirrors, a scarlet neon snake glows above the large back booth that anchors the space. “The red light adds to the drama of the interior,” Allisma says.
