Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week’s column features a birthday party and a French fry festival.

April 16-17
Sessanta: Primus, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle
Jerome’s Maynard James Keenan is turning 60 years old this year, and he’s celebrating by taking two of his bands (Puscifer and A Perfect Circle) on the road and bringing Primus along for the ride. Each band will share the stage (and band members) for a show that is certain to be a wild time. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, 2121 N. 83rd Ave., Phoenix, 602-254-7200, livenation.com

April 19
Willie Nelson and Family
Far be it from us to make an obvious joke about the outlaw country singer and his infamous inclination to toke up, but we can’t resist. Now that Arizona has legalized weed, we hope that the man behind “On the Road Again” comes to perform here more often. 7 p.m., $45-$155, Mesa Amphitheatre, 263 N. Center St., Mesa, 480-644-2560, mesaamp.com

April 20
FRIED French Fry and Music Festival
Expand your mind and palate with a diverse selection of local music from Wheelwright, Fairy Bones, Daphne and the Glitches, and The Lonesome Wilderness while chowing down on French fry tacos, pizza fries, kimchi fries, lobster fries, cheesesteak fries and carne asada fries, all with your favorite dipping sauces. 11am-7pm, $16, Margaret T. Hance Park, 1202 N. 3rd St., Phoenix, friedfestival.com

April 21
TWRP
The costumed Canadian rock band’s latest record, Digital Nightmare, is what you’d imagine if funk legend Bootsy Collins wrote the soundtrack for Tron. Their lyrics, however, describe a darker future than the groundbreaking 1982 sci-fi film could have ever predicted. 8 p.m. $25-$65, Crescent Ballroom, 308 N 2nd Ave., Phoenix, 602-716-2222, crescentphx.com
