Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week’s column features legends of all sizes.

October 16
The Brian Jonestown Massacre
The antics of the psychedelic indie garage band and its leader, Anton Newcombe, were made famous by the 2004 documentary Dig! What gets overlooked in the movie is the group’s music, which is by far more exciting than what happened backstage. 8 p.m., $27, The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren Ave., Phoenix, 480-659-1641, livenation.com

October 18
Celebrating David Bowie
The influential “Space Oddity” singer’s absence is still deeply felt in the music world. In the years following his death, the show “Celebrating David Bowie” has paid tribute to the legend’s music with performances by fans and those he’s collaborated with. This time around, Bauhaus’ Peter Murphy and guitarist Adrian Belew take the stage. 8 p.m., $39-$244, Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, 602-267-1600, celebritytheatre.com

October 19
Michelle Branch
The Sedona native, known for her hit “Everywhere,” returns to the 48th state to promote her latest record, The Trouble with Fever, produced by her husband Patrick Carney of The Black Keys. 8 p.m., $35, The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren Ave., Phoenix, 480-659-1641, livenation.com

October 20
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
If you need proof that old-school hip hop is making a comeback, look no further than the rap battle several years ago on Verzuz. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony took on their rivals, Three 6 Mafia, in a fight for ’90s supremacy. While the “Crossroads” group was overshadowed by their Oscar-winning opponents, their status as living legends was never in doubt. 8 p.m., $39-$59, Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, 602-267-0186, celebritytheatre.com

October 22
Trace Adkins
To say that the musician and actor has been through some s— would be an understatement. Adkins has survived a car accident, being stranded on an oil rig during a hurricane, alcoholism, and a bullet through the heart. Sounds like the makings of the most epic country song ever, which is right in the performer’s wheelhouse. 8 p.m., $79-$159, Showroom at Wild Horse Pass, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd., Chandler, 800-946-4452, playatgila.com
