Sting
The Police frontman and “Fields of Gold” songwriter is looking back at his musical (and Grammy-award-winning) career, filling the setlist with more than 45 years of songs you know by heart and the stories behind them. 8 p.m., $53-$183, Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St. Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com

Guns N’ Roses
The legendary hard rock band has never won a Golden Gramophone. Still, the group has been nominated three times, including a nod for Best Hard Rock Performance for the groundbreaking Use Your Illusion I. How that album lost to a mediocre Van Halen album is anyone’s guess. 6 p.m., $49.50-$375, Chase Field, 401 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix, 602-514-8400, dbacks.com
October 13
The Wallflowers
The Wallflowers started as a band led by Jakob Dylan (son of Bob), but in the decades since it’s become more of a solo project for the charismatic frontman. Not to worry, he’ll still play “One Headlight,” which took home a Grammy, with his touring band. 8 p.m., $25-$65, Showroom at Wild Horse Pass, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd., Chandler, 800-946-4452, playatgila.com
October 15
Janelle Monáe
There was Oscar buzz last year for the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter’s dual role in Glass Onion, the sequel to the mystery film Knives Out. But now there’s talk that The Age of Pleasure, the artist’s latest album, is a shoo-in for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. 8 p.m., $51.50-$81.50, Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com
