This ain’t your first rodeo (or maybe it is) but it’s time to break out those cowboy boots and hats because Arizona rodeo season is in full swing.

2nd Annual Legends of the West PRCA Rodeo
The well-known cowboy town of Wickenburg is hosting the 2nd Annual Legends of the West PRCA Rodeo April 1-2 at the Everett Bowman Arena. Overflow contestants will compete at 10 a.m. on March 31 and there will be free entry for spectators. An Iron Cowgirl competition will kick off the excitement on Saturday and entry is only $5. For the main events, tickets range from $10 to $25 based on age and can be purchased here. There will be food vendors and a beer booth on site.

Gary Hardt Memorial Rodeo – Payson
The Gary Hardt Memorial Rodeo is named after a well-known bull rider and roper who was a Payson native. From May 18 to 20 there will be two action-packed rodeo performances and additional events at the Payson Event Center. On May 18, there will be Women’s Cactus Series Barrel Racing at 6 p.m. and admission is one can of food. On May 19, the pro rodeo committee encourages attendees to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness. Parking is $10 and the main events are $20 for ages 13 and up and $10 for ages 8-12. Flagstaff Pro Rodeo
Experience some hootin’ and hollerin’ up north beneath the Ponderosa Pines at the Flagstaff Pro Rodeo. The events will take place at Fort Tuthill County Park June 8-10. This PRCA-sanctioned rodeo will include barrel racing, bull riding, breakaway and more. There will be three evening performances. Tickets range from $10 to $60 and can be purchased here.

World’s Oldest Rodeo | Prescott Frontier Days
Celebrate Arizona’s western heritage by attending the World’s Oldest Rodeo, which began in Prescott in 1888. Enjoy some good ol’ fashioned bareback riding, steel wrestling, tie-down roping and more from June 28 to July 4. There will also be parades, rodeo dances and arts and crafts shows. The eight rodeo performances will take place at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds while parades and rodeo dances take place near Whiskey Row and the Courthouse Plaza. Tickets range from $15 to $40 per performance and can be purchased here. Take part in 136 years of history and experience some ropin’ and ridin’ just like the old times.

World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo – Payson
The World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo started in Payson in 1884 and will take place from August 15 through August 19. There will be typical rodeo performances like bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing and more. There will also be Boots and Bling Dances featuring Western Fusion free with ticket purchase or a $5 cover charge for those not attending any rodeo events. Each performance is $25 for ages 13 and up and $10 for kids 8-12. Tickets are non-refundable and can be purchased here.
