Heather Dziedzic was sick of opening tubes of lipstick and mascara only to find molten messes. Like many Valley women, she invested in expensive cosmetics and carried them with her to client meetings or driving around during hot Arizona summers. “I was just tired of it getting ruined and melted,” she says. The Scottsdale entrepreneur spent three years researching and developing a “beautiful and elegant” cosmetics bag that comes with a proprietary, built-in ice pack. The inside was designed by an engineer and stays cool for up to four hours under normal conditions. The name for the bag comes from “a ‘bergy bit,’ which is a chunk of an iceberg,” Dziedzic explains. Made of scratch- and water-resistant leather, the bag currently comes in three colors – black, white and pink. Dziedzic says she is searching for a high-quality “plant-based vegan material, versus a plastic”-based one, to offer a vegan Bergy Bag. bergybag.com
