In high school, Madalyn Nault crafted and sewed in her spare time. Eventually, she started making her own purses. “My friends would say, ‘Oh, I want a purse, too.’ And so then I just kind of started playing around with all these ideas that came into my head, and I just had to bring them to life,” Nault says. She turned her hobby into a business, which she’s run from her Phoenix home for more than 10 years. Nault loves the “joy factor” of her products, which include colorful vinyl wallets, clutches and purses with patterned insides – she particularly loves florals – and whimsical cut-outs of plants, animals and objects on their outsides. “I feel like if I look back at all the different styles that I’ve done throughout the years, it’s very much what I was into at the time,” she says. madalynnaultaccessories.com
