On her second trip to Nantucket, a small, isolated island just off Cape Cod in Massachusetts, publicist and Knife & Fork Media president Susie Timm zeroed in on the local restaurant scene. “My objective this time was to relax and dine in some of the places that I had not been to [yet],” Timm says. Instead of bringing her gal pals as she did on her first “girls’ trip” visit to Nantucket, this time she brought her husband.

CRU Nantucket
CRU is located at the end of the Straight Wharf and is the “see-and-be-seen hot spot on Nantucket Island, and the reputation won’t be waning anytime soon,” Timm says of her experience. The oyster bar offers tasty food, a fantastic view and “Champagne corks fly[ing].”

Galley Beach
This reservation-only restaurant offers astonishing beach views on its wraparound patio. Along with incredible food, Galley Beach offers “an impressive wine list [and] top-notch service,” Timm says. “To fully enjoy this one-of-a-kind dining experience, lunch is the recommended meal to partake, as the scenery is half the fun.”

Ventuno
“This old house [was] converted into a hip yet cozy restaurant,” Timm says. “Ventuno has a modern Italian menu and craft cocktails to die for. Don’t miss the risotto al granchio with soft-shell crab and white asparagus – an incredible combination of flavors and textures that won’t soon be forgotten.”
