Named after late Philadelphia Phillies catcher Darren Daulton, and with a dad who played in the big leagues, Arizona Diamondbacks third-year player Daulton Varsho has baseball in his blood. Ranked among the game’s top catching prospects before joining the D-backs in 2020, the 25-year-old Chili, Wisconsin native also plays center field, though “catching is my [first] love,” he says.
