Locals in the national news cycle.

Daniel Ramirez
In December, authorities apprehended 30-year-old Ramirez after he jumped out of a taxiing plane at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Authorities reported that he opened a rear galley door and ran from the aircraft. He sought refuge in an airport fire station and was subsequently jailed on suspicion of trespassing.

Daniel Robinson
In June 2021, 24-year-old Buckeye resident Robinson went missing. His case went viral this winter on social media after many users pointed out its lack of national attention compared to that of Gabby Petito, who disappeared around the same time.

Stella Montes
Montes, a 38-year-old mother of three, was shot and killed December 9 by a fellow motorist after an alleged traffic altercation in North Phoenix. News outlets across the U.S. picked up the road-rage horror story, including People and the New York Post.
