It’s time to celebrate America’s independence and many in Phoenix will do it with a long weekend, a backyard pool and an ice cold beer in hand – and there are plenty of fresh new offerings from Arizona breweries to help that along.

OHSO Brewery (4 Valley locations)

  • Insane in the Haze Brain, 4.2% ABV hazy pale ale. Brewer’s note: Crisp, juicy and gluten-reduced. Available in cans to go.
  • All Together IPA, collaboration with Other Half Brewing. Back on tap and in cans to go.

Beer Research Institute (Mesa)

Breaking Curfew, dank New England style IPA. BRI is still open for dine-in but will be closed Saturday for the Independence Day holiday.

Front Pourch Brewing (Phoenix)

It Ain’t Space Science!, 6.2% ABV hazy IPA. Brewer’s note: Undertones of citrus and peach make it an “out of this world” beer experience. Available to go.

Wren House Brewing (Phoenix)

COLORFUL SILENCE, 8% ABV double dry-hopped double IPA. Available in cans to go.

Goldwater Brewing (Scottsdale & Mesa)

Star Spangled Banger, fruited sour with raspberries, blueberries and white peach. Nothing better than celebrating the Red, White and Blue inside of a beer! Available to go.

The Shop Beer Co. (Tempe)

NEONIC Pomegranate & Blackberry, 5.1% ABV sour ale. Available in single cans and 4-packs to go.

Helluva Brewing (Chandler)

Down Wit It, a Belgium Wit brewed with cracked coriander and Moroccan bitter orange peels. Brewer’s note: A refreshing, complex beer with bitter orange aroma on the front end and notes of spice flavor on the back end. Open for dine-in.

Arizona Wilderness (Gilbert & Phoenix)

  • People Power, hazy IPA brewed with Sabro and Mosaic hops.
  • Ro-Ro, double dry-hopped DIPA brewed in collaboration with its downtown Phoenix neighbor, The Theodore.
  • Planet Persica, hazy IPA brewed with peaches from Agritopia Farms and galaxy hops.

All options available in cans to go.

Dark Sky Brewing (Flagstaff)

Black is Beautiful, 13% ABV imperial stout brewed with cardamom, vanilla, roasted pecans and cinnamon. This beer is a collaboration with Weathered Souls Brewing (San Antonio, Texas) and we wrote about the project last month if you want to read about it! Available in 16 oz. cans to go.

Tombstone Brewing (Tombstone)

IPA & Double IPA are back in cans this weekend. These are both hazy and juicy and can be considered Tombstone’s “flagship” beers.

1912 Brewing (Tucson)

  • Sangre de la Cabra, 5.9% ABV gose. Tart and full of raspberries, this re-release kicks off 1912’s five-year anniversary weekend celebration.
  • Apple Empanada Gose, sour ale and latest in their pie series of beers.
  • Sandia Loca, a Mexican candy inspired gose.
  • Random Voices from an Old Man Yelling at a Cloud, re-release of this IPA favorite.

Crooked Tooth Brewing (Tucson)

Second First Impression, Vienna-style lager.
