“Find what you love and let it kill you” is tattooed on Chris Pardo’s forearm. Listening to him talk about his coast-to-coast passion projects, it’s clear he’s serious. Pardo is an architect, designer and co-founder of ARRIVE Hotels and Restaurants, opening its fifth hotel in the Valley this year. ARRIVE Phoenix, a “neighborhood hotel,” is being developed with Phoenix-based Vintage Partners. “This one’s really interesting because it’s adaptive reuse of two midcentury modern office buildings,” says Seattle-area native Pardo. He let us peek in the travel bag he totes around the country.
