Star-Crossed: Looking for a wedding date? L’Auberge de Sedona suggests February 20, 2020. That’s the calendar square pegged by British astrologer Carolyne Faulkner as the best day to get married due to key planets aligning for commitment, stability and sacred contracts. Gamely, the resort created a Celestial Ceremonies package pegged to the date, good for “star bathing” and other astro-themed experiences – along with the wedding ceremony itself, of course, in one of Arizona’s most beautiful spots. lauberge.com

Airfare Deal of the Month: Nobody in their right mind wants to visit Chicago in January… but does $76 round trip make you feel crazy? That’s a rate we found on bargain-basement Frontier Airlines (flyfrontier.com), departing January 8 from Phoenix.

The Other Mesa: The Colorado town of Cortez is billing itself as a “micro-travel” destination for Phoenicians – i.e. quick, experience-rich getaways. The capital of Mesa Verde Country, Cortez offers skiing, breweries and paleontology tours. It’s a seven-hour drive from Phoenix, or a $180 round-trip flight on Boutique Air (boutiqueair.com).
