There’s a new kid in town this summer at shopping, dining and entertainment destination Desert Ridge Marketplace: Taiwan-based Sharetea.
Though the concept is new to Arizona, the internationally recognized tea trader was established in 1992 and has over 450 stores in 18 countries.
The long-running black tea and pearl milk café boasts an eclectic drink menu that combines high-quality tea leaves with creative ingredients like boba, ice cream, pureed fruit and pudding that are shipped directly from Taiwan.
Sharetea’s first Arizona outpost will be located in The District next to the splash pad. In 2017, Desert Ridge Marketplace underwent a $22 million transformation that introduced new amenities like bocce ball courts, children’s play areas and large LED entertainment screens.
“Our goal is to keep bringing fresh, cutting-edge concepts to the North Valley,” says Jenny Cushing, vice president of leasing at Vestar, which owns and operates the shopping center. “Now, with the addition of Sharetea, our customers can grab an authentic hot or cold brew Taiwanese tea to enjoy while shopping, viewing an outdoor movie or catching a live concert at our stage.”
