Phoenicians are so miserable at dating that Toronto-based app developer Charles Messow specifically targeted the Valley of the Sun to launch his dating app Cove, which aims to provide a more intense vetting process than apps like Tinder or Bumble with progressive levels of communication “unlocked” by users – all within the app, to reduce the stalker quotient. “Phoenix was the top choice for our launch, as data suggests higher levels of dissatisfaction with online dating there, particularly with women,” Messow said in a press release. Here’s to hoping it’s happier in the Cove. Free in the App Store and Google Play.
