Loosely named after the South African oven (called a braai) that chef-owner Vince Mellody has installed in his kitchen, this funky neighborhood spot in Coronado offers an international menu featuring small plates that are French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Middle Eastern in origin. Some dishes are more successful than others, but the cocktails are great, the vibe is relaxed, and everything ‘ save two $40 meat spreads ‘ is affordable.
