From May through October 2017, Cathedral Park in Santa Fe will host a magnificent exhibition of 92 reproductions of masterpieces from the Museo del Prado in Madrid. The exhibition will be making its U.S. debut in Santa Fe and is only one experience of dozens in the yearlong, citywide “Santa Fe Celebrates Global Arts & Culture” festival.

The City of Santa Fe, the Spanish Colonial Arts Society and the New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation have taken the lead in coordinating the Prado exhibition, while also spearheading the development of many other extraordinary showcases throughout the year, in what will truly be a unique and inspiring celebration for all.

From Velázquez’s magnum opus Las Meninas to the stunning photography of Frida Kahlo, to historical and powerful expressions of native art; from the mind of Leonardo da Vinci to the innovation of Steve Jobs; from passionate Flamenco to soul-stirring opera — visitors to The City Different are sure to experience a vast and dazzling array of high-quality, global cultural masterworks.
