Grammy Award-winning pop singer Melissa Manchester, known for hits including “Don’t Cry Out Loud,” “Through the Eyes of Love,” and “Midnight Blue,” kicks off the fall festival. 7:30 p.m. October 28 at Highlands Church. Tickets cost $34-$76.
#4: Beethoven’s “Triple Concerto” and Saint-Saëns’ “Symphony No. 3” at La Casa de Cristo Church, February 2, 2017
Violinist Christoph Koncz (Vienna Philharmonic); his brother, cellist Stephen Koncz (Berlin Philharmonic); and pianist Bryan Wallick play Beethoven’s “Triple Concerto,” and the Festival Orchestra – along with a massive pipe organ – will fill the venue with Saint-Saëns’ “Symphony No. 3,” also known as “The Organ Symphony.” 7:30 p.m. February 21 at La Casa de Cristo Church. #5: Young Musicians Fall Concert at Musical Instrument Museum, October 30, 2016
This concert showcases the talents of recent Arizona Musicfest scholarship and competition winners. 1 p.m. October 30 at the Musical Instrument Museum. Tickets cost $20. There will also be a Young Musicians Winter Concert at Musical Instrument Museum on January 29, 2017.
