Best Anchor Hair
Ron Hoon, Fox 10 Arizona Morning
Emmys, shmemmys – the most critical metric of TV news excellence has been, and always will be, an awesome head of hair. For your consideration: Ron Hoon. The Fox 10 morning anchor’s thick, straw-colored pate – fetchingly bracketed by drifts of distinguished gray at the temples – matches perfectly with our coffee and eggs every morning. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why they invented HD. In a dark televised wilderness of widow’s peaks and combovers, the Hoonster and his aesthetically pleasing pile illuminate the way. Weekdays 5-9 a.m.,

Best Local Sports Talk Radio Show
The Fantasy Forum, XTRA 910
Thinking about sitting your stud running back against the Steelers D? Not sure which scrap-heap quarterback to pluck off waivers for Tom Brady’s bye-week? Don’t have a clue what the preceding two sentences mean? You must not be a fan of The Fantasy Forum, the once-a-week call-in show that plays like Dear Abby for fantasy football addicts. For two unapologetically wonkish hours every Thursday (6-8 p.m.), affable co-hosts Chris Lewis and Barry Markson deliver some of the most nuanced, insightful fantasy advice you’ll find anywhere. Esoteric? Well, sure. But fantasy freaks looooove it. Now in its 18th year, Fantasy Forum bills itself as the longest-running sports radio show in Arizona.

Best Social Media Guru
Amy Jo Martin
We’ll go out on a limb and say Martin has a handle on this Twitter business. As a marketing prodigy for the Phoenix Suns in the late 2000s, the ASU grad helped Shaquille O’Neal launch his Twitter juggernaut by conceiving “Random Acts of Shaqness” and other micro-marketing hooks. Eventually, Martin launched the Phoenix-based consulting company Digital Royalty and became a Twitter celebrity in her own right. The 32-year-old CEO currently boasts about 1.27 million Twitter followers, which is slightly less than celebri-doc Dr. Sanjay Gupta (1.35 million), but more than Heidi Montag (1.21 million) and the Huffington Post (1.25 million). And you, of course.
