In September, life insurance company TermLife2Go released a study that revealed the opposite effect in Chandler and Gilbert, who were No. 4 and No. 8, respectively, on a list of the 10 safest cities for pedestrians. The full list:

1. New York City, NY
2. Plano, TX
3. Lincoln, NE
4. Chandler, AZ
5. Irvine, CA
6. Irving, TX
7. Atlanta, GA
8. Gilbert, AZ
9. Aurora, CO
10. Honolulu, HI
