Celebrate Peace in Tempe
Valley artists Edgar Fernandez, Shachi Kale, Nick Rascona, Kaori Takamura and Annie Lopez share their visions for Peace in an outdoor exhibition at Tempe Center for the Arts. Located on the east side of the venue through January 24, the project includes a 75-foot-long text wall along the exterior windows of the center’s sculpture garden and a mini art exhibit that is visible from the gallery windows that face the east breezeway entrance. Hunt for Snow Globes in Mesa
Take a stroll in downtown Mesa and see how many holiday snow globes you can spot in shop windows for a chance to win a gift card. Elves from Downtown Mesa Association have scattered 20 of the seasonal figurines among the town’s quaint shops and will hold a drawing for those who find at least five snow globes. Pick up a checklist at businesses displaying the “Downtown Mesa Gift Card Accepted Here” window sticker or download a copy at downtownmesa.com/holiday-snow-globe-hunt and let the search begin. Follow Downtown Mesa on Facebook or Instagram for helpful hints. The contest runs through December 30, with winners of $50, $100, $150 and $250 gift cards selected on January 4. Rumor has it that all entrants will score a Downtown Mesa ugly sweater ornament.
Sing Along with Chandler Children’s Choir
