Every week, we present a curated list of live music in a wide range of genres around the Valley. This week features a performance from one of Arizona’s foremost winemakers.

March 16

Miguel

Los Angeles-based Miguel continues to surprise fans with his genre-defying songs. He’ll be coming to the Valley in support of his first studio album in eight years, the experimental CAOS. 8:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com

March 16

Jeff Tweedy

Wilco is going out on tour this summer, but, sadly, Phoenix is missing from the list of the band’s tour dates. However, Jeff Tweedy, the frontman for the adult alternative group, will put on an intimate concert downtown in support of his epic three-disc solo album, Twilight Override. The show will also be a family affair. His touring band features his children, Spencer and Sammy. 7:30 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. The Van Buren, 401 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, 480-659-1641, livenation.com

March 19

Mark Chesnutt

The “I’ll Think of Something” artist was knocked down by health issues late last year. Yet the country singer continues to get right back up and rock again. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. The Showroom at Gila River Resort, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd., Chandler, 800-946-4452, playatgila.com

March 20

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue

When it comes to instruments, the trombone isn’t very sexy. At least it wasn’t until Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews came along. When the multi-instrumentalist performs, it is far from a quiet jazz concert. It’s a funky celebration filled with rhythm and dancing. Expect your perception of the trombone to change, and don’t expect to stay in your seat for long. 7:30 p.m. $75-$195. Scottsdale Civic Center, 7380 E. Second St., Scottsdale, 480-499-8587, scottsdaleperformingarts.org

March 21

Puscifer

Arizona winemaker Maynard James Keenan is leaving the friendly confines of Jerome to go on tour with his band. Nope, not Tool. Not A Perfect Circle. Yep, the experimental rock outfit Puscifer. 8 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Arizona Financial Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix, 602-514-2919, livenation.com
